Worship is the heart of congregational life at First Christian Church. Members gather together as the Body of Christ in corporate worship on Sunday mornings. As Disciples of Christ, we celebrate the sacraments of open communion each week and baptism by immersion. Worship at First Christ Church is filled with wonderful music, prayers and meditation. The Worship Division needs volunteers in many areas to help bring a passionate and relevant worship experience to its members every Sunday. Please contact the church office when you see a ministry in which you want to participate.

• Audio/visual - Create and run audio/visual presentation for worship and other events.
• Bell Choir - Have musical talent but don't like to sing? Join the Jubilant Sound Bell Choir, youth hand sign choir, or FC Cubed Youth Chime Choir,
• Decorating - Decorate the sanctuary for various seasons and special services.
• Drama - Be an actor or behind the scenes participant n drama during worship.
• Greeters - Greet members and guests prior to worship services.
• Liturgist - Lead the worship service with opening prayers, scripture readings and weekly announcements.
• "Moment for Young People" - Prepare and deliver a five-minute devotional to children during the 8:20 and 10:40 am Sunday services (approx. five times a year.)
• Orchestra - Join the FCC Orchestra, which practices during the months of Sept. - June.
• Praise Team - Lead singing during worship services.
• Soloist - Be a vocal or instrumental soloist.
• Ushers - Greet member and help seat guests.
• Vocal Choirs - Join the pre-school "Little Angels," Joyful Singers Children's Choir, or adult vocal choir. (Adult Chancel Choir meets on Wednesday evenings 7-8pm Sept. - June.)
